A big day faced us at the NEC in Birmingham with both breeds being exhibited at separate ends of the halls, such a big distance to cover and run through to make classes.
First up was the Junior Stakes for Zarcrest See in Red, where he was placed 2nd out of a large number of top winning junior dogs under one of the great judges we have as an all rounder Albert Wight.
We missed the Eukanuba puppy stakes under Peter Clifton with Zarcrest Panda Monium as the breed was called to the ring, we were placed second in open bitch and had to race like lunatics to the mini long ring where the breed was just beginning and we were in the first class with Zarcrest See in Red, who won his class, RDCC and BPIB under breed specialist Lloyd Cross.
Meanwhile they had finished the puppy stakes and the Eukanuba Champion Stakes was on a final call, so we raced down with Sh Ch Zarcrest Choc Ice who only went and won first and her place to the finals in February.
We also were incapacitated as Will had had a knee accident just 24 hours prior, and Lindsey had the most dreadful cough, so we all came home flying on a high and exhausted.
Such a shame this society did not have any puppy groups, as these babies are the stars to watch for the future.
